- 東京の伝統工芸である「切子」を宝石のように纏わせた首飾り。
美しい輝きを演出する切子は一つ一つ丁寧に職人が
伝統技術である「手磨き」で仕上げたものを使用し、
ガラス本来の高い透明度と彩度を最大限に活かした作品。
切子の文様は縦横に割り付け線を入れる「割り出し」から始まり
砥石による削り作業、研磨剤をつけて磨き作業など幾つもの工程を経て美しい光の屈折と反射により表れます。
約2cmの小さい世界に繊細で丁寧なカットを施した、高い職人技術も魅力の一つ。
装飾は「〆縄」をイメージしたデザインを取り入れ、
覆輪加工にて切子を包み込んでいます。
ー文様に込められた願いー
○菊花紋
菊の花には「高貴」「高尚」「延命長寿」「邪気払い」「心身の安定」の意味が込められた吉祥文様になります。
皇室を象徴する「菊紋」は日本人には馴染みが深い文様の一つ。
○八角籠目
古くから籠の文様は「籠目」と言い、ひとつひとつが「魔を見張る目」であるとして
魔除けの意味が込められた吉祥文様。
＜Japanese Kiriko Necklace＞
This necklace is made of Japanese KIRIKO glass, a traditional craft of Tokyo, and is adorned like a jewel.
Each faceted piece is carefully hand-polished by craftsmen, a traditional technique, to maximize the high transparency and saturation of the glass.
The KIRIKO patterns are created through a number of processes, starting with the process of "split-out," in which lines are split horizontally and vertically, followed by grinding with a whetstone, and then polishing with abrasives, to create the beautiful refraction and reflection of light. The high level of craftsmanship that has been applied to the small world of approximately 2 cm in length with delicate and careful cuts is another of the charms of this product.
The decoration incorporates a design inspired by the image of a "Japanese SHIMENAWA a sacred rope" and wraps the KIRIKO piece in a covered ring process.
○Chrysanthemum pattern
The chrysanthemum flower is an auspicious pattern with the meanings of "nobility," "loftiness," "prolongation of life," "exorcism of evil spirits," and "stability of mind and body.
The chrysanthemum crest, which symbolizes the imperial family, is one of the patterns that are familiar to Japanese people.
○Octagonal baskets pattern
The ancient basket pattern is called "Kagome," which means "eyes watching for evil.
This is an auspicious pattern with the meaning of " ward off evil spirits".
